In a prior post, I received my Yokohama ADVAN A052 tires in preparation for the cobra to arrive. And now we got to mount the tires on the new bronze starburst wheels from the kit!
The rear wheels are 18 x 11 with 315/30R18 size tires, and the front wheels are 18 x 9 with 265/35R18 tires.
The design of the wheels requires the tires to be reverse mounted. Reverse mount wheels must always have tires mounted/dismounted from the back of the wheel. Needless to say, this size tire, on a reverse mount is really tough! Here are a few pics of the tech(s) (yes multiple) getting the tires to fit over the wheels…
Overall, I’m LOVING the look of these starburst wheels, and now I’ve consolidated the wheels and tires by 50% so less spaced is used up in the garage. What do you think of the combo?
