2-Month wait for my SB100 Build Number
I endured a frustrating two-month wait for my SB100 build number. Back in September, I snagged #120 for 2024, but the paperwork didn’t show up in my mailbox until two days ago. You heard that right—two entire months just to get one piece of paper to push my car registration forward. The DMV had #120 logged in their system, but I couldn’t move ahead without that crucial document for the BAR referee.
BAR Referee Approval: A Win for Thorough Paperwork
After I submitted all my paperwork—including that hard-won #120—the BAR Referee called me! He didn’t waste time, reaching out fast because I nailed every detail. He praised the photos I included, saying they matched his requirements perfectly. Trust me, staying meticulous pays off big time! That call left me pumped, knowing I’m inching closer to the goal.
Next Stop: Visual Inspection and SMOG Verification
I’ve now secured my November 19th appointment to tackle the visual inspection and SMOG verification. Once I ace those steps, I’ll head back to the DMV to wrap up the registration. I can practically feel the finish line—I’m almost there!
Just for fun, my wife took out her 2003 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail and I followed behind. I think her bike is louder than the Cobra!
