The progress on the cobra is proceeding steadily, with the completion of the remaining tasks before entering the painting phase. Noteworthy improvements are emerging as we near the final stages, such as the remarkable upholstery work. To achieve impeccable results, we have entrusted the upholstery tasks to the highly skilled professionals at Fine Line Trim & Upholstery. Their expertise and craftsmanship will undoubtedly elevate the car’s appearance, complementing the flawless paint job. My initial encounter with their work at a local car show left me truly impressed with the consistent quality they provide.
Based on the images provided, the door cards from FFR are highly disappointing. They fall short of our expectations, and what’s even more frustrating is the steep $200 price tag for such subpar quality. Despite expressing our dissatisfaction and receiving an apology, no steps have been taken to rectify the situation. This experience has been quite disheartening.
I’m extremely proud of the cohesive look achieved with the 25th Anniversary seats and carbon fiber dash. The addition of the distinctive suede and bronze stitching on the seats and door cards really brought a unique and eye-catching touch. The utmost attention was given to the lower dash section, ensuring that the integration of the stereo and controls area was seamless. The choice of French stitching for the transmission tunnel cover and lower dash beautifully complemented the bronze stitching. The smooth transition and blended edges on the transmission tunnel and door cards resulted in a flawlessly finished look. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with the final outcome!

Here are a few more pics of the transmission tunnel, lower dash, and seats for comparison. We still have work to do on the footbox carpeting. Oh, and we trimmed the shifter boot a bit to make it fit once the carpeting is in place.
This has been a HUGE bump in confidence! Realizing this car may actually get completed! 😉
