Getting a bit closer to the engine installation timeframe. Had a few more items to cleanup in the bay and we’re getting closer!
We ran a lot of the wiring in the engine bay around the perimeters and came upon the O2 sensor wiring. In the FFR directions, we need to split the O2 harness about 1/2 way down to give it enough room to get over the engine to the driver side headers. For now, we did some doctoring, wrapped the passenger side up as it should fit no issue. We are leaving the driver side exposed because we may need to lengthen the wires a bit more because the Coyote is so wide and the 4-into-1 headers bung is pretty far down the exhaust.
In the above pics, you can see the flex fuel line mounted and we were pretty crafty on mounting it to the passenger footbox. Keeps it nice and tidy, and we can still move it out of the way during the engine installation if needed. We’re realizing how tight this engine bay is becoming due to the amount of ‘stuff’ that we’re putting in here, so we’re measuring 3x before we try something else.
These 3 pics show the progression of the ABS HCU setup. The pic on the left shows the chassis prior to mounting the ABS HCU. The center pic has a basic physical installation. The last pic on the right shows all the wiring cleaned up. By the way, there are 16 wires that connect to the HCU!
Still working on a few more coyote wiring items, and we’ll most likely do the 2nd fuse box prior to dropping in the engine. Getting closer!
