Now that the brakes are behind us, and the body panels are coming together. It’s time to customize a bit more… Many builders recommend some custom upper trunk panels to finish that area for carpeting. I grabbed and extra set of ‘elephant ears’ that came with the car and my Wiss snips and got to town! Definitely needed to sand down the edges quite a bit, siliconed them in place, riveted – and then rubbed the whole thing with acetone.




I’ll finish this all up with some aluminum tape to seal off any cracks and crevices which will help to waterproof the trunk area a bit more.
