There are two different Driveshaft adapters:
- 2015-17 Automatic transmission cars and all 2018+ center sections which is coated clear zinc.
- 2015-17 manual transmission center sections is coated yellow zinc. The standard one included is the clear zinc adapter.
- I got the original clear zinc adapter which doesn’t mate up with my yoke. The yoke is the part that mates up to the adapter. Shown in yellow below:
As you can see in my setup, only 2 of 6 bolts line up, and they’re not even tightened down – the difference is very small, maybe 1/4″ but that’s a big difference for this part.
I contacted FFR and they’re shipping me the 4.43″ adapter so my bolts line up! Love their customer service! Thanks again FFR!
update: got the yellow zinc replacement part – installed!
