Adding an LED integrated into the Darkwater Customs (DWC) filler panel. This powerful addition floods the trunk with light. This solves the common problem of not being able to see in the trunk when it’s packed full.
I wired this light into the light switch that turns on the interior lights. Some folks use a micro-switch, but this was good enough for me! I simply ran the positive/negative wires alongside the licence plate lighting wires so there was already an electric run established. I used some simple rivnuts and 10-24 buttonheads to seal it up. Of course, Ken painted the panel to match the stripe so it looks like it was made for this!

In the end, the light is WELL worth the effort. The light output is amazing, and now I don’t have to struggle at nighttime looking for stuff in the trunk (if it’s overstuffed).
