We laid out the wire harness, and there are ‘extras’ that we need to run. In this case, we’re talking about the 4 wheel speed sensors that have to run to the ABS HCU unit. The wires on the sensors themselves are 22AWG which is an absolute pain since it’s so thin. We tried several methods, and ended up crimping the ends at each wheel – but when we came up to the HCU – everything was soldered.
We used lots of heat shrink and was sure to label everything too!
Pretty happy that we’re pretty much done with brakes except for a few more lines (power/ground/ecu) so now we’re onto other things!!! I did order some billet buttons for the dash, I like the clean look…
They’re not cheap like a toggle switch, but I’m hoping the backlit buttons will look nice on the modernized carbon fiber dash layout!
