I have some catching up to do, and today I made some great progress! I started by setting up the brake/clutch reservoir on the firewall. I was really trying to get it installed by the brake booster, but it’s a large piece so I decided to move it to the firewall. I’ll run the lines through the side of the driver footbox now.
Next, I focused on the driver’s footbox… I literally thought I lost the parts but was able to assemble them. It’s a tight fit and had to really coerce the parts to fit properly, but I got it drilled and ready to go. Looks awesome with the clecos!
Since I got rid of the manual handbrake, I had to close up the passenger side floorboard with some extra aluminum sheet. I think it turned out pretty good!!
I’m also doing what a few locals have done, by setting up a screen to protect the radiator. Sadly, my brain was in 2D mode and I only got enough aluminum to setup for one side of the screen, so I’ll have to get 4 more aluminum strips tomorrow to finish the design. It will be nice to get the cardboard off the radiator and have a proper screen setup!
Making progress! Hope to get the brake lines done this week!
