MKIV Wilwood front brake installation

I’ve done brake pad replacements, and removed calipers, swapped rotors – but nothing like this! I was truly excited to see the Wilwood boxes arrive (before everything else).

Now that I’ve nearly finished the IFS (independent front suspension) – still waiting on my KONI shocks. It’s time to get into the Wilwood Brake installation. Parts for the 25th Anniversary come with custom logo black calipers. They’re the latest Wilwood Forged Dynapro 6A Lug Mount brakes.

Wilwood’s newest DynaPro DP6A Calipers combine pure-bred racing technology with contemporary design to deliver superior braking and high-tech style on a wide range of custom, show, and competition vehicles. This newest model in the DynaPro series features a reinforced triple bridge construction, with five high strength steel bridge bolts, making it the strongest and stiffest DP6 caliper ever built. Offers direct interchange with all 5.25” pattern lug mount DynaPro and Dynalite calipers. With Forged aluminum, six piston differential bore body and stainless steel pistons with high temperature seals. DP6A calipers accommodate rotors up to 13″ diameter and widths from .38” to 1.10”.
