Ok – I’ve been a bit ‘offline’ from the build for a few months… time to get re-invigorated! I received a photo the other day from Ken Pike – the body is prepped and ready for a fitment! All the rough edges have been sanded, filled, smoothed out and he’s ready for me! Welp! I’m not ready yet! LOL Yes – it’s time to re-focus on the build! I can actually get to the car now since we had so much junk moved around from other house projects… enough complaining – it’s life!

My next steps are to get the brake lines done and order the engine from Mike Forte, once the engine is in Ken can fit the sidepipes! I have to say, Mike has been running shop for 40 years now! So I’m happy to continue his business!

Fingers crossed, I’ll have better updates SOON!

Peter D. Graduates Mk5 Build for Son Scott’s Wedding
Factory Five customer Peter D. from Pfafftown, NC and his son Scott started to put thier Mk5 Roadster plans together early in Fall 2025. Rob M. Reaches First Start Milestone!

Charles M. is Show Favorite with ’33 Hot Rod
Charles M. from Lakeland, FL purchased a built Factory Five ’33 Hot Rod in February 2026. This Hot Rod was built by a company in California that builds cars for movies and TV shows. It was sold at auction with the proceeds being donated to a charity. The auction winner then sold the car to Charles with 594 miles on it.
