Now that the pedal-box is installed, I ordered a clutch master cylinder from Mike Forte. Since I don’t have the engine/transmission yet, I just got the top cylinder with reservoirs – in hindsight I could have just ordered the master cylinder itself, but live and learn… more extra parts for my bin!
Setting up the clutch pedal was a bit of a mystery (first time doing this) so I queried the forums quite a bit. I setup the clutch pedal parallel with the brake pedal. I used a zip-tie to hold the clutch pedal in place.
I ended up trimming about .8″ off the threads (maybe too much?) but now the pedal has more travel. Online many say the clutch pedal needs about 5.5-6″ of travel for the hydraulic slave to fully engage/disengage.
Here’s a sheet that helps you calculate the distance of clutch pedal travel – it’s pretty complex, but great to understand!

For now I’m done with the pedalbox until I get the brake lines and reservoirs setup. Woohoo!
