Gosh it feels like I keep buying and need to start building! But some things I’ll need sooner than later are needed. I have had several discussions, and I’ve opted for power brakes! Many people go back and forth on this since I have the Wilwood brake setup and say that power is not needed. The Whitby Motorcars power brake complete setup has a modified brake pedal with a different pivot to allow for more fluid braking.
I also ordered the center console, won’t need it for a bit – but I’ll save a little in costs by bundling the shipment. I have some ideas around using this console for seat switches and/or some vents for the HVAC setup… I’ll have some time to dwell on this…
Another item I’m opting for is the FFMetal Firewall Forward setup. I’ll be adding heat & A/C and will need the extra space behind the glovebox. I’ll have to powder coat to match the black engine bay panels, yet another step to take. This kit moves the firewall forward 1.5 inches. This makes more room behind the dash for heaters and computers but does not get in the way of your wipers. The kit includes a .090 5052 firewall and bulb seal to mate with the driver’s footbox panels. Here are some images:
