In doing more review – I really want to get a heater into the Cobra, so I’ve added that option. Also, in talking with Mike Forte, he offers the 3.55 IRS setup for cheaper than FFR (sorry FFR) which equates to about the same cost as the heater, so essentially I’m getting a heater for ‘free’ in comparison of costs… I’ve updated my order sheet here: https://cobradreams.com/i-pulled-the-trigger-25th-anniversary-edition/
Just to give more details on the Heater / Defroster setup, it’s a $375 option but it will be worth every penny when it’s a chilly NorCal morning – along with the seat heaters I intend to install.

In order to install the heater assembly behind the 25th anniversary Carbon Fiber Dash, I’ll have to get the FFMetal Firewall Forward Kit ($179) and will have to powder coat to match the FFR black engine bay.
This kit moves the firewall forward 1.5 inches. This makes more room behind the dash for heaters and computers but does not get in the way of your wipers. The kit includes a .090 5052 firewall and bulb seal to mate with the driver’s footbox panels. Most likely, I’ll get it powder coated black to match the engine bay….
